James Ro

President and CEO

James is an entrepreneur with a passion for providing innovative, simple, and flexible solutions to reduce operating costs using alternative energy.  James acquired ComTech Energy in 2015 and has since grown the company to become the leading CNG infrastructure developer in Canada. James is also the Founder and President of Envoy Energy, a leading mobile CNG refuelling provider. Prior to ComTech, he spent most of his career advising companies on mergers and acquisitions and raising growth capital. James holds an Honours BBA from Wilfrid Laurier University. 

 


 

Marie-Geneviève Poitras

Vice President Sales & Marketing

Marie-Geneviève has made a career out of building and maintaining positive relationships in the alternative energy industry. Marie spent six years as the Canadian Sales Manager for ANGI Energy Systems and was responsible for developing and growing their CNG presence in Canada. Prior to joining ANGI, she was a Sales Director at Xebec Adsorption where she was responsible for the co-ordination and management of their natural gas, industrial gas and biogas activities. Marie has accumulated more than 17 years of industry experience in CNG, RNG and biogas in North America and overseas, including Asia and the Middle East.

 

Chris Damiani

Chief Operating Officer

Chris is a mechanical engineer with over 15 years of experience in the CNG and alternative fuel industries in North America and internationally. He has deep knowledge and vast experience in designing CNG stations, compressor packages, dispensers, gas control panels, decanting skids and “Mother-Daughter” virtual pipeline networks.  Chris is a Professional Engineer and has an MBA in Finance from the University of Manitoba.

Penny Topolnitsky

Controller

Penny began her employment with Kraus Industries in 1987, working as Controller and after a short period became 2IC. In 1994, she assumed the role of Executive Assistant to the President and Managing Director where she utilized her experience with strategic planning and project management to assist with the company operations. Penny returned to the finance department for a brief period in 2007 as Finance & Administration Manager and later became Director of Change Management in 2008 where she remained until she reassumed her role as Controller on December 1, 2009.

Penny graduated from the Business Accountancy program from Red River College with Honors. She later obtained her Mid-management Program certificate from the University of Manitoba and is currently in the CGA program.
